Growing up in three countries — India, Canada and the U.S. — school was always a constant for me. Through spending an immense amount of time in each of my school communities, I learned about the lasting and vastly different impacts education policies have on stakeholders in the school community. I knew I wanted to capture the stories of those impacted in different ways. I aim to weave stories of everyday people with the intricacies of policymaking and their impact.

As a print and audio journalist, I aim to immerse the audience in stories through a combination of words, sounds and graphs. A text-driven story showcases an issue in a concise manner. A data story brings together the numbers and the experiences of everyday people. An audio story allows individuals to share their stories in their own voices. By bringing these elements together, stories can be viewed through several lenses, allowing for a more well-rounded understanding of the issues at hand.
